I think we need to be careful with reblogging this kind of thing.
I get the appeal.
It’s SO NICE to finally hear someone who we all so respect being comfortable in her own skin. It’s so good to have role models who are fat, deliberately and honestly and openly fat with no intention of ever becoming thin.
But if we don’t want people bashing our body type, we need to make sure that we’re not bashing the body types of others.
Some girls are naturally thin and well-endowed. Not because they have some twisted idea of what a girl should look like. Not because they’re starving themselves. Not because they hate fat people. Just because they’re thin.
And some girls choose to be thin, and choose to implement diet and exercise regimens to achieve thinness, not because of social pressure but because they genuinely enjoy those foods or that exercise. Because they genuinely feel good about themselves when they’re thin, the same way you or I feel good about ourselves when we’re fat.
All body types are okay. What matters isn’t how big or small you are. What matters is self-love.
I know we all want to support self-love for us fatties, and that’s awesome.
But let’s support self-love for people of all shapes and sizes.

^this.
And might I add, Adele’s statement also implies that dressing promiscuously or “with your tits out” is something to be ashamed of. Or a lovely little thing known as SLUT-SHAMING.
Which is a bad thing.

to be fair ^ dressing like that IS slutty. I’m not saying girls who dress like that should be shamed but it’s still skanky.

Words like slutty and skanky are directly correlated with shame. You can’t pretend to separate them.
It’s not okay to pretend to know someone’s sexual promiscuity based on what they wear.
It’s not okay to judge someone based on their real or imagined sexual promiscuity.
It’s not okay for one person to decide what another person can or can’t wear before they pass some imaginary line of unacceptability.
If you don’t like having your boobs hang out, don’t let your boobs hang out.
But not having your boobs hang out does not make you a better person than people who do choose to let their boobs hang out.
And it definitely doesn’t give you the right to assign names to them with connotations that are negative, shaming, and that imply that they’re sexually promiscuous, and that being sexually promiscuous is a terrible thing.

One of the reasons I don’t understand why everyone is so in love with Adele… if she was a confident, strong woman… she wouldn’t need to bash others. What’s wrong with having your boobs out? Or being a “skinny-minnie”… if she thinks that not something to look up to then I don’t see why having to have fake lashes, over-done hair, and all that makeup makes her any better. Don’t get me wrong, I love makeup, and fake lashes! But if she thinks having your tits out is fake… well look at you honey… I’ve NEVER seen her photographed without tons of makeup and hair.
